The Hive Wants You!
…whether you want to belong or not
Hive societies, like ant or bee colonies, are structured by class and order. Independent thought or action are not allowed and are seen as a threat to the colony. When they appear they are ruthlessly crushed. There are human societies that mirror insect societies. Cults are an obvious example. But so are other societies/groups that garner support today despite their history of horrors inflicted on its most fervent believers, as well as those who refuse to become members. Socialism, Nazism, Fascism, Marxism, Communism, and their ideological, incestual relatives are all hive (slave) societies. Despite many of these ‘societies’ claiming to be fighting class structure, all are built on a foundation of classes.
The foundation of the insect world is built on class structure. But so are the human hive societies despite claims from their supporters that they are classless. Try and tell that directly to a Mao, or a Stalin, or a Mussolini inside their impressive mansions and you quickly learn how classless those societies are as you are hauled off to prison or the firing squad after a show trial, if you are fortunate to get one. Their adherents then claim that their goal is ultimately a classless society but of course they never get there even after decades of ruthless oppression.
One would think after thousands of years of being ruled by emperors, pharaohs, kings, czars, ayatollahs, and dictators we would learn through the deaths of hundreds of millions of people and the suffering of untold billions we would bury these hive societies into the deepest graves once and for all. But somehow they continue to live on like some Michael Myers monster in bad sequel after bad sequel. There truly is a sucker born every minute to quote PT Barnum.
Perhaps this is a struggle mankind must fight, generation after generation, relearning the same painful lessons. A child can be told a hundred times don’t touch that boiling pot. But they only need to touch it once for the warning to take hold for a lifetime. This eternal battle of the individual vs the collective, the hive, is one we all have to confront on our own. It’s a choice every person must make at some point, whether they want to or not.
Many people want to be a part of the hive. No decisions, no questions, just blind obedience to someone above you. The life of being a slave to the hive is attractive to many people. Life is simpler. There is less to think about when someone else tells you what to think. If only the members of the hive could be content living the life of a slave. But they can’t. They have one other desire, actually it’s really a demand. They want you to live as a slave as well (some ants actually make slaves of other ant species). They need you not only to be a slave, but to love being a slave. Misery loves company and the hive members want you to be as miserable as they are, so as to not be reminded of the choice they made. These cultists are quite willing to use maximum force to compel you to obey the hive rulers, or pay the ultimate price. Hundreds of millions have paid the price with their blood.
Giving in to the hive is easy. Just acquiesce. Go along. Play by their rules that allow no dissent. Do not question anything. Do not rock the boat. It’s oh so easy.
So, are you a member of the hive? Maybe you don’t even realize you are. Do members in a cult realize they are in a cult? Most don’t. They think they belong to something beneficial. They think they’ve discovered some great secret of living no one else can comprehend. But often, deep inside, they know the truth and feel powerless to liberate themselves.
I am not a member of a hive. I am a free person. I believe most people do not want to be a mindless, obedient drone or worker bee. Unfortunately, there is no way to live side by side with the hive. They can not let us live and let live. So there is only one choice for liberty, individualistic minded people…to fight the hive.
Now we have to discover how…
Recognizing a Member of the Hive
So, how do you know someone is a member of the hive? Believe it or not, some of them don’t know they belong to the hive. So how do you discover their true identity?
It’s easy. Just listen to them.
Most members of the hive regurgitate talking points and cliches heard on social media. They don’t create new ideas or thoughts, they simply repeat them. Because hive members are so confident in their beliefs they are easily spotted.
Diversity is Our Strength
How many times have you heard the hackneyed phrase? Hundreds, certainly. Did you ever ask someone after they spewed out that tired statement how is diversity a strength (diversity of thought is never allowed, of course)? If you did you would likely get a deer in the headlights stare. You can almost see the hamster racing on the wheel trying to remember the next talking point. Often times they might just repeat it. But rarely do they provide an argument as to why diversity is a strength.
Don’t be confrontational when you ask them why. Ask them as if you really want to know why diversity is a strength. Many countries are strong, wealthy, and vibrant and are not diverse at all. The nation of Japan comes to mind. The country is culturally vibrant, economically rich, and incredibly peaceful. Ask them why Japan can be successful and not be diverse at all. They will not have an answer. Their programming does not allow it.
Never be confrontational with a member of the hive. If you do they will instantly become combative and try to sting you, metamorphically speaking of course. Although, some members of the hive are not beyond issuing physical threats, and even initiating violence. What you really want to do is try to get them to question their beliefs. Asking probing questions is the best way to get people to examine long held beliefs. Why, is a powerful word. Often times when hive members realize they have been painted into a corner they will snap back at you, call you a bigot and then storm away. That’s okay. Give yourself a point. They walked away.
And smile, be upbeat, be positive. Members of the hive hate that. They want you to get as angry as they are. Don’t take the bait…truth and reason are on your side. Play the long game.
